Allysha Shin is a registered nurse in the neuroscience intensive care unit at Keck Medical Center of USC in Los Angeles, CA. Previously, she had worked at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, CA in the intensive care unit until she was unjustly terminated for her leadership role in the union drive with the California Nurses Association. Following her termination, Allysha was invited to the White House to participate in the Worker’s Voice Summit, where she met with congress members, the Secretary of Labor, and President Obama. She even got a selfie with Senator Bernie Sanders.
Recently, Allysha and the nurses reached a settlement with Huntington Hospital. Her termination was rescinded and will receive full back pay.
