Bhaskar Sunkara is the founding editor and publisher of Jacobin magazine and Vice-Chair of the Democratic Socialists of America. He recently co-edited “The Future We Want: Radical Ideas for the New Century” with Sarah Leonard. He has written in Vice, Washington Post, The Nation, and In These Times, and has appeared on MSNBC, PBS, and FX.
Sunkara was born to immigrant parents and grew up in Westchester, NY. While at George Washington University, he served as editor of The Activist, the blog of the Young Democratic Socialists. He graduated in 2012 and currently lives in the Bronx, NY.
