Kari got started in the labor movement over ten years ago as a member and leader of UE Local 896–Campaign to Organize Graduate Students at the University of Iowa. She joined the staff of UE as an organizer in Los Angeles, and will be moving to Pittsburgh in June to coordinate international collaboration and educational programming for UE.
